The Daily Drucker is one of my favorite books. It sits on my desk and I try to read it every day. Since I will be traveling at the end of this week, I was reading ahead today. The entry for September 4th is “Practices of Effective Executives”. I feel these practices underscore the need for having business systems, written goals, efficiency vs. effectiveness, and other topics that I like to write about on this blog. Because I work with small business owners, I took the liberty of changing “executives” to “business owners”.
Effective Business Owners:
- Know where their time goes
- Focus on outward contributions
- Build on strengths – theirs and others
- Concentrate on superior performance
- Make effective decisions
How many of these practices are incorporated into your daily routine? Which one are you going to start working on today?

Good afternoon,
My name is Chris Bui with Rapid Advance, http://www.rapidadvance.com/ – a great alternative to a business loan for the needs of small to medium-sized businesses.
I came across your blog and noticed that we’re both targeting the same audience while not competing with each other. Would you be interested in writing a review about our site and services? I think it would be a great resource for your readers.
