There has been a lot of hullabaloo recently about disclosures on blogs and other advertising. I haven't spent time talking about it here – mostly, because I've always thought disclosures lend to credibility, so my personal choice is to make them whether required by a rule or not.
Today I ran across a blog Even though this post has nothing to do with compensated endorsements, I think this post from Duane Hallock illustrates the point of disclosures building credibility. Without the disclosure, you may think Duane was just ranting. IMO, the disclosure emphasizes that he cares and is offering advice.
